*Make a Difference Day will be Saturday, October 23, 2010. This is a program endorsed by our Governor and has become the nation’s largest day of volunteering in many ways.

In North Carolina, our Governor wants Make a Difference Day to focus on schools, and on the state level has partnered with the NC Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service, AmeriCorps programs and members, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, National Service programs and the business community.
*MCMS will participate in this initiative with a campus clean up morning from 9-11:30. Together, students, staff, and parents will clean up our school grounds. Activities will include raking, trimming, weeding, power washing and painting and other projects.
*We encourage all staff members and families to participate and Make a Difference at MCMS! Please bring your own garden gloves, tools, rakes, etc. Our school has one power washer and we could use a few more. Please let Dr. Kreuser know if you plan to bring your own to use so that we can make arrangements ahead of time with hoses and water connections.
