Have a Great Day!
January 10, 2012
We are off to a wonderful start! Together this will be a prosperous 2011-2012 School Year!
Rachel’s Challenge Thought for the Week! – “If you think you are too small to be effective, you have never been in the dark with a mosquito”.
PTO MEETING – Our next PTO meeting is today, Tuesday, Jan. 10th @ 8:15AM!
Hope to see you here!
Athletic Booster Meeting - Athletic Booster is meeting Monday, January 30th @ 6:00 PM in our cafeteria lobby. Parents are encouraged to attend.
*Automated Phone System - In an effort to better communicate with our parents, we’d like you to be aware that yesterday, Monday, January 9, we began using our automated phone system to alert parents if a student has been marked absent for that school day. Parents can expect the phone call at approximately 9:00 AM each morning a student is marked absent from homeroom. As you are aware, our homeroom meets at 7:45, so those students who arrive late to school will have been marked absent and parents will be notified.
As with any new initiative, we will listen to you and learn what we may need to do to make the process work for our school personnel as well as our families. We thank you in advance for your patience as we launch this new communication initiative.
Geography Bee - The following students will be competing in the Final Competition of the Geography Bee on Friday Morning at 9:00:

Student Lunch Accounts -Does your student's lunch account need some attention? With the new year beginning, we have had quite a few students' accounts get low. To avoid an alternative lunch, please have a conversation with your son/daughter about the current balance. If you have any questions, please call our cafeteria manager, Rachel Blevins.
Wrestling News - The MCMS Wrestling Team is "Turning it Black" this year and we need your help! Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 11th the Bulldogs of Broad Creek will be coming into Minutemen territory and Coach Woods wants to have a little surprise waiting for them.
