Media Mania News …. Don’t get caught without a BOOK!
BOOK FAIR – Goodbye Book Fair!
Our Book Fair was a huge success. We wanted to double our 300 book goal to 600 books and we were 29 books shy of getting there. We will be adding about 1700 dollars worth of books to our library.
Thanks to all of the parents, student volunteers and especially for those who bought items from the Book Fair.

Parent Volunteer - MCMS is looking for a parent that would like to volunteer to help with the school news program. We need a tech savvy parent that would be comfortable running video cameras, editing, and working with students to create a student led news program. Parent volunteers would be needed to be able to meet twice a week on a flexible schedule. Please contact Megan Curley by e-mail if interested. megan.curley@carteretk12.org
Summer Read = The BATTLE 2010
This year, the Summer Reading committee along with commentary from the students decided to host the battle between Guys and Gals. Our Summer Read consisted of a guy title: Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz and a gal title: I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have to Kill You by Ally Carter. Both of these reading adventures curtail the lives of the secret spy world. Are you man enough to try the gal title? Are you woman enough to try the guy title? Make sure you read one of the titles, and for a stronger chance of victory, read both titles. Be ready to BATTLE it out at the beginning of this new school year and ready for some spy missions of your own. Oh, the possibilities...Get your copy now at school during your lunch hour for $5.

General Mills Box Tops Fundraiser – We once again are collected box tops from General Mills products to help raise money for our school. Please “clip” and “save” any that you may have and send to the school office. The next turn in date will be in October. Your help to raise $ will be greatly appreciated!
Have a Great Day!
