Media Mania News …. Don’t get caught without a BOOK!
Holiday BOGO Book Fair - Walking in a Reading Wonderland...check out our Blizzard of Books display. So far the Sandpipers lead the competition with 37 books, Seahorses are in second place with 13, and the STAFF are in third place with 9. Wow! Keep it up! Remember any book you finish that has 50 pages or more write on a snowman or red or green dot. Include the title, author, your name, your team name, scale of 1-10, and a few words. If the book falls within 50 points of your lexile, write the lexile for triple value. Our individual winners from last week are Abby Houghton, Drew Lewis, Rachel Rouse, and Kemp Wickizer. Kemp was our very first triple value snowman with a fiction book of a 1200 lexile! These students can see Mrs. Lancaster today for a gift certificate to spend at the book fair.
Holiday BOGO Book Fair is here! You buy one, you get one for equal or lesser value. It runs during school hours today, Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. Your teachers will fill out wish lists. Books make for excellent holiday gifts. We have a wrapping station on site.
Forget Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer, at MCMS, it is Rudolf, the Well-Read Reindeer. The competition is off to a great start. Sandpipers currently lead followed by the Staff followed closely by the Seahorses. Remember, as you finish a book that has at least 50 pages, fill out a snowman or a dot. Include your name and team name, the title of the book, the author, and rate the book on a scale of 1 -10 with a few words why. If the book is within 50 points of your lexile, include the lexile of the book for triple value.
