PTO MEETING – Our next PTO meeting is Tuesday, Jan. 10th @ 8:15AM!

Make-up Day & Early Release – Our next Make-up day due to hurricane Irene will be Monday, December 19th. Also, Monday, December 19th will be an early release day. Students will be dismissed from school at 11:55. Mark your calendars!
Glee Club - Glee will not practice today, Thursday. Glee members need to wear their Glee Holiday T-shirts and Santa hats on Friday, tomorrow, and Monday. Glee will perform tomorrow, Friday, 12/16 at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, and 2:00 pm. Glee, wear your holiday gear to school tomorrow.
Yearbook Meeting -There will be a yearbook meeting today, Thursday, December 15th until 4:00.
Sports Eligibility – Sport Eligibility will be due on January 20th. This is a check for good grades and good positive behavior to be eligible to participate in our sports program. The sports are for girls and boys basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, cheerleading, and girls golf.
Project Christmas Cheer – $1,507.00 was raised for our Project Christmas Cheer last week. Thanks to all who contributed to the penny war to help struggling families throughout our community.
Spirit Hoodie Sweatshirts – It’s that time of year again for sweatshirts. Pre-order a “Spirit Hooded Sweatshirt” for $25.00 right here in the office. The sweatshirts are gray with red lettering. We need at least 25 orders to place an order for the shirts to be printed. This will make a wonderful Christmas gift to yourself.
Just leave your name, size, and homeroom teacher. Go Minutemen!
Quiz Bowl – Meetings will take place every Wednesday from 3:00 to 3:45 thru April 2nd.

Battle of the Books - Our next practice is January 5 until 4:00. All practices and competition dates are on the digital calendar on our school web page. BOB members make note of the dates and times.

Absences and Tardies - We’d also like to remind you of the importance of clearing absences and tardies when they occur. Students should bring notes to Ms. Becton in first class within a couple of days of the tardiness or absence. We thank you in advance for keeping our attendance records up to date.
Lost and Found Items – Parents, there is now a link on the MCMS web page that allows you to check “Lost and Found” items that have collected for a few weeks now. We encourage you to collect your valuable items before we must donate to charity organizations. The lost and found list is updated each Friday.
Box Tops for Education – Box Tops is all about the difference 1 can make. This year our goal is to raise money for materials and programs to benefit our students.
The next collection will be in February, so keep clipping those Box tops and Thank you!
